MultiVersus is a project that has been in development for some time. It was a complete surprise to everyone! It couldn’t have been! You don’t expect Arya Stark and Steven Universe to fight it out when you see a new video game being announced. We can’t deny that we are curious and excited!

What type of game is MultiVersus, and what kind?
MultiVersus is a platform-based, free-to-play videogame. It introduces two vs. two formats. The game will have an extensive roster of characters from all over the world. Multiversus is owned and developed by Warner Bros. It’s impossible to predict who or what we’ll see in the game.
It seems that the majority of developers are moving away from Battle Royale and onto fighting platformers.

MultiVersus, a PVP-style, free-to-play game, was brought to you by Warner Bros., taking full advantage their pop culture IP. The ‘MultiVersus founder pack’ will initially be available as a paid component. It includes three editions that give players access to special items and perks, including instant access to the open beta, 15-30 tokens for unlocking characters, and more. It will be available across all platforms. The switch is the only platform that hasn’t been confirmed.
S, Xbox One consoles, and PC. All platforms will crossplay, have dedicated server-based rollback net codes, and be able to access content-filled seasons.
Pre-registration is possible at MultiVersus.com for the playtests. A Multiversus Open beta is also available, giving players the chance to test the game before it goes public. It will be available starting on the 26th of July 2022.

As we have already answered, yes. MultiVersus won’t be available on the Nintendo Switch at launch. It is also accessible on all platforms. You can purchase the Founder’s Packs, as discussed above.

Multiverse’s wildest aspect is its wide range of characters. There are classics like Batman, Superman, and Shaggy. Then there’s Steven Universe, Shaggy, and Tom and Jerry. We didn’t expect to see these characters in any game this year.
